I think we have a good police department in LB. As for the "Specials", I do not know, as I was not present, but the scope of their job is writing tickets for the little things such as Biking and Skateboarding. (I'm sorry – you made me laugh really hard with the roller skating comment – who roller skates anymore LOL – and can you imagine roller skating on the boards? One would not get far). Things escalate fast sometimes. Plus kids are often a step ahead of the adults, what with the internets, mybooks and facespaces…;)

HOW IS IT THAT THE '"LOCAL" KIDS KNEW THIS LONG BEFORE THE POLICE DEPT .IF THEY OR THE "SPECIALS" AKA KEYSTONE COPS COULD HAVE SEEN THAT PROBLEM STARTING EARLY IN THAT DAY.THEY WERE TOO BUSY WRITING TICKETS FOR ROLLER SKATING ON THE BOARDWALK INSTEAD OF SEEING COOLERS FULL OF BEER AND DRY GOODS BEING BROUGHT TO THE BEACH .
